Ballymena Congregational Church

Christmas 2015

As ever Christmas was a busy time for the church as we had fellowship and remembered Christ’s birth through a number of services and events. As we entered December both the men and women of the church had nights of fellowship with Christmas dinners. The men visited Ross Park Hotel and the ladies had a meal prepared at Wellington Presbyterian Church.

The whole church gathered together at Ballymena North Centre for a ‘Family Fun & Fellowship’ evening where inflatables, football, party games and food were enjoyed by all. Our annual Carol Service took place on the 10th of December as the church worshipped and gave thanks for the gift of Jesus. As ever, the Sunday School, music group, choir and many other members of the congregation took part in the service and Rodney Scott reminded us of how without Christ we could not be saved from our sin. On Christmas morning itself we gathered once more, putting aside the distractions of the world, to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Our annual New Year’s Tea service saw the church gather once more for fellowship and to thank the Lord for 2015 and to look forward to 2016. Rev. McLarnin used the service to remind us that while, many things in life are uncertain, God is unchanging and eternal.

We look forward to another blessed year at Ballymena Congregational and hope you can join us in 2016!
